Sir,
I am surprise to see an article today titled
as “Long hours at a desk job linked to ‘masked’
high BP” appeared in ‘The Times Of India dated 24-12-2019 states that ‘Working long hours behind a desk might raise the risk of
undiagnosed high blood pressure, even when reading in a doctor’s office are
normal, a study suggests.
In an analysis of
data from more than 3,5000 white collar workers, researchers found those who spent long hours on the job were 66% more
likely to have sustained hypertension
and 70% more likely to have so-called masked hypertension – blood pressure that
is normal the doctor’s office, but high
at other times.
“People should be aware that long work hours might affect their
heart health.’
Regard to this I had already diagnosed
this desktop work for long hours involuntarily affect the spinal cord including
doctors attending on patients in the clinical room affect them mostly. Because
when they stretch their hands to touch the patients it weighs more and eyes and
few neurons at the base of the brain deprives the alert status of the brain is
the cause for masked hypertension when they are seated for long hours while
consulting the patients.
